Connect 2 Change

Emily Sanders is the founder and Executive Director of Connect 2 Change, a survivor-led nonprofit based in Sacramento that provides immediate shelter, mentorship, and long-term support to women escaping sex trafficking and exploitation. As a survivor herself, Emily brings lived experience, bold leadership, and entrepreneurial grit to every aspect of her work—from case management and crisis response to community partnerships and strategic advocacy.

Emily is a visionary builder who helps women rise from survival to self-sufficiency. She is passionate about transforming pain into purpose and creating pathways for women to rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and support.

Emily will be sharing about her experiences as a human trafficking survivor as well as the mission and focus of Connect 2 Change and its impact on our community.
