Financial literacy is necessary to make decisions that are integral to our everyday lives. Financial literacy includes understanding how a checking account works, what using a credit card really means, and how to avoid debt.
Soroptimist International of Sacramento brings the Money Matters program to local groups to encourage financial empowerment. Money Matters is a four week program that takes students through financial goal setting, record keeping, budgeting, banking, credit and debt, shopping wisely and eating healthy, insurance, bills and deposits, payroll information and personal money management.
